Make the Law of Inspired Action Work for You

universal lawsHave you ever had an experience where everything seemed to flow effortlessly? Those moments are perfect for harnessing the power of The Law of Inspired Action.  This is part five of a twelve-part series about ancient mystical teachings called the Universal Laws or Hermetic Principles.   The focus of this article is twofold;  The Law of Inspired Action and creating art exploring this principle.

Many believe that by harnessing the Universal Principles, you can achieve inner peace, a deeper connection to the universe, and a greater understanding of yourself.

In my Soul Artist Experience series of classes, among many other topics, we explore the Universal Laws.  Using our art journals to examine each principle illustrates our insights.

On my vision quest, I sought answers to life’s biggest questions.  The notebook I kept included imagery, sketches, doodles, quotes, sacred geometry, and poetry.  This spiritual art provided mental landmarks for each new concept.

Similarly, in our classes, each Soul Artist creates art journal pages as they delve into each lesson.

The process is the point of our art journal work.  It is not intended to be fine art.

Art journaling is deeply personal work.  It allows us to place milestones along our transformation path.  We set aside our internal critic andLaw of Inspired Action silence negative self-talk about what we are creating.  Giving ourselves the freedom to play, as we create art, we discover insights.

Intriguing transformational themes emerge in the work of Soul Artists when they journal about The Law of Inspired Action.  For example; the concept of hidden forces conspiring with you to make your dreams manifest.

Some Soul Artists create pages focused on tuning into inner guidance.  For instance,  asking your intuition what step to take next.   Themes that convey co-creating and manifestation with spirit are often shown; like riding your personal jet stream that is a wave of love, synchronicity, and miracles.  We marvel that when we are in the flow, it almost feels like something magical is taking place.

The Law of Inspired Action

“Action that comes from the feeling of inspiration is action that will produce good results, for you are allowing the laws of attraction of the universe to carry you.” -Esther Hicks/Abraham

Inspired action in this context are steps taken from a place of higher vibration.  Spiritual teachers explain that inspired action will yield powerful results.  This is contrasted with action taken from a place of lower vibration.  When that happens, misalignment can result.

In other words, there is a process.  Divine inspiration strikes.  When it does, you act on that inspiration quickly.

When people talk about creativity, they’re often talking about this kind of action.   We see this happen constantly in the Soul Artist Experience.

As you create, you have a gut feeling about the next step to take on your art journal page.  This inspired action is sensed as a kind of spontaneous internal nudge; something urging you to take action.

Flowing with the urge may result in more synchronicity to help you manifest your desire.

People in the flow of inspired action often describe it as ‘effortless ease.’Law of Inspired Action

When you follow your awareness and realize when the flow is powering you; you let natural momentum take place.  At that point, you recognize the right next step that comes to you; and that leads to other steps that feel like the right direction.

When you stop and listen for your inner guidance to direct you, you often find yourself achieving your goal easier and faster than you expected.  You might even feel as if a series of small miracles occurred.

I felt that way often in creating the Soul Artist programs.  Seeking an image of an abstract concept, I would find it within seconds.  Thinking, ‘I wonder if there is a way to easily get these files uploaded?’ I would then find the answer easily.

While the law of attraction is about vibrationally aligning yourself with what you want, the law of inspired action is about taking small steps in order to bring what you want to fruition.

A key lesson within this law is that we need to take some action.  Some effort on our part is necessary for making our dreams come true.

We must take a step and then the Universe acts to support our actions.

“I have found that you have only to take that one step toward the gods, and they will then take ten steps toward you.” – Joseph Campbell

Law of Inspired ActionIf we stand still, the Universe stands still with us.  Through inspired action, we can make our dreams a reality.

Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon wrote a book entitled The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga.  They describe a Law of Least Effort.  This law has underlying themes that helped me better understand The Law of Inspired Action.

They explain; grass doesn’t try to grow, it just grows. Fish don’t try to swim, they just swim. Flowers don’t try to bloom, they simply bloom. It is the intrinsic nature of birds to fly.

You recognize when you are in a situation where getting to an outcome feels like a struggle, and contrast that with times when things seem to naturally flow.

We can make our dreams manifest into physical form, easily and effortlessly without struggle and force.

The belief that life must be a struggle is a self-fulfilling mindset.   This mindset can be shifted through less resistance, letting go of the need to control, and vibrationally tuning into the level of the solution instead of the level of the problem.

When you move with the flow, you are riding on a universal current. Just learn not to resist.

We have all had times when we struggle against the current.  We want to control situations and use force to will circumstances to unfold a certain way.  However, when we learn to flow without resistance, then we trust that the universe is taking us exactly where we need to be.

The flow is always moving you in the right direction.  You just need to decide whether to take the ride or hold back.

We simply need to be in the right vibrational flow and then take small actions.

In Vedic Science, the ancient philosophy of India, this is known as the economy of effort.  Do less and accomplish more.  When you are in harmony with natural forces, you can understand when you are in the flow and take effortless steps to make your dreams a reality.

Make use of the Law of Inspired Action by recognizing when things seem to be flowing toward manifestation.

You can ask your inner guidance; ‘what is the right next step?’   Consciously taking and recognizing that right step gives you a feeling of confidence that the Universe has your back.   Our souls feel good when we go with the flow of the universe. All we have to do is make the choice to ride its currents.

Meditation is a powerful and practical tool that helps you to tune into ease and flow.

Stress and strain are reduced with regular meditation.   When your psychology settles into calm serenity, you become more relaxed and open.  You begin to listen to your higher guidance and allow awareness to do the work.  Solutions flow from a deep source in our awareness.  Accessing this source helps you trust and then act from your intuition.  This deep intelligence in our awareness helps us harness that relaxed, open attitude that moves us beyond struggle and strain toward ease and flow.  Then, you are making the Law of Inspired Action work for you.
